Given a choice,

viewers prefer to choose for themselves. Or might, if they were in fact given a choice.

Did interest in Kerry slip because news channels gave him less air time, or did the networks give him less air time because of a lack of interest? We would not even have to ask this very important question if there was some kind of equal time provision in the media. I wrote my congressmen about that, of course, and they collectively sighed wistfully and promised to contort my words and meaning even more in their response to my next letter, thank you.
